Atley’s expansion plans highlighted in local media “Nya Wermlands-tidningen”

Kristinehamn, Sweden – 28 November 2024 – In a featured article in the local news media Nya Wermlands-tidningen (NWT) Atley Solutions’ recent development and future expansion plans are highlighted. The article explains why Kristinehamn has been chosen as the production site for the Atley C100 – the world’s first and only commercial module for automated manufacturing of At-211 radiopharmaceuticals.

Atley Solutions was founded by leading scientists at Gothenburg university and is the global leader in commercial products and services for the development, clinical evaluation and commercialisation of At-211 radiopharmaceuticals. Radiopharmaceuticals represent the next frontier in the treatment of metastasised cancer and the radioactive isotope Astatine-211 has highly favourable characteristics for safe and effective cancer treatment.

Atley has developed and launched the Atley C100, a unique product that enables reproducible and scalable manufacturing of At-211 radiopharmaceuticals. The assembly and testing of Atley C100 modules is done in Kristinehamn. The Kristinehamn site is now expanding by recruiting additional team members to meet a growing customer need.

“We operate in an industry that is growing rapidly, and we are investing in our production capabilities in order to meet a growing demand for our products. A significant number of pharmaceutical companies are looking to use our technology to develop and eventually commercialize radiopharmaceuticals that will address significant clinical unmet needs,” says Milton Lönnroth, CEO at Atley Solutions

“As a first step, we have recruited Ann Persson to our team and secured access to additional production space in Kristinehamn. Ann has a background in electronics manufacturing and quality testing, areas of expertise that match our needs very well. Our ambition is to further expand our production capacity in Kristinehamn in the coming quarters and we are continuously looking for new employees with a background in mechanic- and electronic production.”
